Anyone else thinking about this? I am partial to Tiffany dials...

At the very least the hands and crown have been replaced.

Questionable dial.

Nice comparison but remember these watches were sold to Tiffany in this very same condition and altered by the company for sale..

That's comforting..

redial and I would not trust anyone in the NYC diamond district except maybe a handful of people, and none of them would be selling this.

As with any acquisition, consider the premium for something unusual. Specifically with Tiffany dials, collectors like to have some provenance to substantiate the claim, i.e., Tiffany papers, etc.

So when looking at these timepieces, consider the value without the added "writing" to substantiate your investment..

Here's one, but doesn't prove anything. The dial on the ebay watch could very well have been 'tinkered with' along the way, or entirely fabricated.

I'm not familiar with omega but I wouldn't pay a premium for a double stamped Rolex with out original papers. Actually if it's a fake stamp, it detracts from the value of the dial.


I blame it on the autoconnect.
