Makesbelieve
·Here's wishing the esteemed members of OF a Good Morning / Evening and a happy new year.
I come to you today to ask your opinion of this 1980ish Seamaster 120 166.025 which has come up for auction here.
The watch itself seems to be in impeccable condition which is probably the result the refurbishment that the seller has mentioned in the listing. The dial has obviously been replaced as it has the full, rather than split, lume at the 12 indicy mark and I'm assuming the hands are also new as they seem simply too clean and unfaded for their age.
I have asked the seller to provide a picture of the crown and the movement but this request has fallen on deaf ears. As such I'm interested in your opinions about the state of the watch, if you can tell from the few images provided whether it's a genuine crown and if you think this is actually a possible Watch Co Seamaster.
Bidding starts at $3200 USD and the buy now price is $3740 USD
Thanks in advance,
Matt
