Hello, It's an alarm watch. It's a vintage Vulcain Crciket. The topmost button at 2 :00 is to set the alarm time and also to stop it.

The crown at 3:00 is to wind both the watch (turning it downwards) and also to wind the alarm (turning it upwards.) This watch is also sometimes referred to as the president's watch.
That's most certainly very different, looks great! What Omegas do you have in your collection?

I have 2 vintage Omegas both automatic bumper movements. One is a 351 movement and the other one is a 354 movement Seamaster. Both watches looks similar. How about you?

Wow! Great set of Omegas. The Constellation pie-pan must be one of the best looking watch ever designed.

Not sure my latest Ploprof is watertight though!

Sorry - that's not one of my best watch pictures! I'll try and do better!

AH! So that's how the bezel on a PloProf works, the balls must be sprung to provide resistance when it clicks and then the pin locks it when the button is not depressed, very cool

Yup, you've got it. Its a great system and very safe for divers as its very difficult to accidently move the bezel position and therefore possibily run out of air whilst on a dive. The bezel on my 60's sub only needs to be lightly knocked for it move (hence I keep overcooking my pasta!) Omega copyrighted the idea and I guess thats the only reason its not used on many other watches. That and the expense of manufacture perhaps.
I have some manufacturers diagrams showing how the whole watch goes together if anyone's interested.
