Let's see'em guys. As Pat Benatar said "hit me with your best shot". (I'm such an 80's nerd sometimes ) I'll throw out a few to start. This was shot free hand - no tripod with the watch on my wrist. The light in my bay window is pretty good for catching the mother of pearl dial. I'm waiting to use this in a Breitling masthead contest. This shot has just the right amount of reflection. It could be better - I could have gotten a better angle so the date shows in the cyclops evenly - but it shows off the dial furniture nicely. Gotta include this since it won a Longines masthead contest. This last one is not mine - it's by Chaotic Bliss, a multi-forum member who hardly drops in anywhere any more. Pity too, because this is a great shot.
Dennis, I like your signature. Here is a zoom of the vintage print on my stopwatch. Feel free to use it.
Best shot? Too hard to pick, as different pics appeal in different ways... I love the way the late sun brings out the golden tones of this Swatch... But then I also like the 'technical' look of a Breitling with an aircraft maintenance manual....(I know it's a diver, but Breitling and aviation always mix well ) And it was fun experimenting with a bit of light and colour to bring out the best of this F1 And of course, tomorrow I'll feel completely different.....
Oh nice PO 8500, Trev was going stir crazy hoping some more modern Omegas would come along, how are you finding it?
Very easy to wear, bracelet is really confortable. The A/R coated is incredible compared to récent Rolex IMHO
If I recall correctly, Rolex only A/R coat the sapphire under the date magnifier, nowhere else, but know what you mean, the flat crystal of my 1680 picks up reflections from everywhere
Hello, It's an alarm watch. It's a vintage Vulcain Crciket. The topmost button at 2 :00 is to set the alarm time and also to stop it. The crown at 3:00 is to wind both the watch (turning it downwards) and also to wind the alarm (turning it upwards.) This watch is also sometimes referred to as the president's watch.
