The only sad thing is this: Current bid: GBP 298.00 Approximately US $391.59 [ 37 bidsPurchases made through these links may earn this site a commission from the eBay Partner Network ] Also, from the seller's own listing description: SCAMMERS ARE NEVER TOLERATED AND WILL BE REPORTED TO ACTION FRAUD WITH PLEASURE.
Isn't stunning what they do to cattle just before the slaughter? Not sure I'm looking for that in a wristwatch.
I'd bet a very large percentage of vintage watch buyers can't spot real from fake, franken from original (this watch being a good example). Before I bought my first watch, I joined a couple of forums and learned as much as possible. I'd like this think this helped me avoid the dummy tax, but I'm sure most people don't go through this "trouble".
I also loved the use of at least 8 superlatives in the description to describe this watch....if you gotta sell it that hard.....
The term "this beauty" is also almost always an indication that something horrible is about to appear.
