After much deliberation, here we are!
I had an SMP 200, then got the SMP 300 original blue wave dial, sold it, regretted it! Tried a PO, didn't really fall in love with it, so here we are today and what a day, I absolutely love this watch.

Interesting that you switched my blue to black!
Not really keen on the new blue?
Thought there would be more strap wearing options with the black?

How’s it compared to your previous Seiko divers 😉

I have the black so I totally understand. Sometimes wonder what life would be like with the blue 😀

Congratulations on getting a great watch and they look best in black (prepare for lots of comments from owners of other colours), love my Seamaster albeit a few years older than yours.

I am waiting for mine to come as ordered the white dial version. My initial thoughts were for the blue dial but then thought no as prefer the white dial as like the contrast. Can’t wait to get it

Dude! STOP THAT!

I sold my SMP last year because I got the call for a GMT Master II.

I miss is so much and I can’t really enjoy wearing the Rolex because it is above the worth I like to carry around.... soo...

Why is the 8800 movement of my brand new SMP 300 much noisier than my older PO 8500 when the watch is shook?

Omega have nailed this model. I could easily own this model along with the 2254. I think they’d compliment each other.

So good! Just curious - what was it about the PO that didn't speak to you?

Sorry not sure of the answer, but I have read on here somewhere about the 8800 movement being noisy.

The 8800 uses a ceramic ball bearing. The 8500 uses a plain bearing, so is much more quiet.

Love the look of the watch, just a little too bulky for my liking.

Does anyone know where I can find a Seamaster in Stainless and Yellow Gold for a good price? I love that watch, but can't pay retail

Was in local AD today and someone came in with this on, he had it on a grey and black nato and it looked absolutely stunning.
