Yema GMT is back for pre-order in 3 new variants. This time you can opt-out of the bezel lock, the bezel is sapphire instead of aluminum, and each edition is limited to 150 numbered pieces. There is a version with a green bezel, grey/black, and black.

The blue/grey is also still listed, though as "sold out" - I really hope they don't mass produce it. I'm kinda bummed those of us who jumped in early didn't get the chance to specify size, strap, or bezel lock... but then I realize I'd have still bought it in 39mm with the bezel lock anyway so whatever. Glad I've got one with the aluminum bezel too

I know Gnomon had all three variants for sale a few weeks back, but looks like the blue/grey and pepsi ones are now gone.

I wonder if Yema will sell us spare bezel parts separately? :D Also, I kinda dig the no bezel lock....would it be as simple as removing the crown and taking that part out? I know I know.....

From what I can tell, yes. But thinking about it, I like the bezel lock - it's a differentiator for the Yema. Otherwise it just looks like any other diver or GMT.

Plus, it helps keep my bezel in place since the markings are misaligned.... :whipped:

Just noticed the new version has applied markers as well.
I was worried about bending my bezel lock trying to do this, as the lock isn't aligned between the teeth. At least it wasn't when I tried. Here is the set up I've landed on to make the misalignment less annoying / apparent to me. I have the GMT hand set to Korea where my in-laws live, and the bezel set to Greenwich. (Edit - I realized after I posted this I miscalculated - my first GMT here... and the bezel is in fact not set to Greenwich. Whoops.)

Not for me. Just like with Rolexes, I believe something's been lost with these with the switch to applied markers. Glad to know there's a difference between the first series and the new one though.

As for the bezel lock, eh. I don't need it so if it gets bent, it gets bent ;)
