    It’s in:

The blue comes across as darker when viewed head-on but flashes blue when it catches the light. Most of the time it looks like photo #2 up there.

More thoughts on it tomorrow as I’ll for sure be wearing it!

Eh, I'm pretty excited about it so it's worth posting a few first impressions!

It feels smaller than I expected. Instead of feeling like a modern tool watch, it feels very vintage. That was a nice surprise. Also nice is that the colors of the bezel are much more reserved than in the photos, and combined with the size lends it a very tidy, upscale feel. It has me thinking about the other Superman reeditions now... partially because I bought this thinking it'd be a NATO-strap, wear-during-activity type of thing and it feels a bit more on the dressy side.

It is definitely a diver though; the bezel is unidirectional. I would have preferred bi-directional for a GMT bezel, but it's no big deal. (This ETA movement does not feature an independent GMT hand)

Other detractors are that the crystal is insanely reflective, and the bezel isn't quite aligned 100% - the triangle is a half-click from 12. Easy enough to just leave the bezel mid-click, but if it clicks ahead, well.... you've gotta spin it all the way around again.

That's a little frustrating to hear. I have the same issue with a Superman I bought on the Black Friday sale. Customer service told me that is how the Superman watch is designed, and assured me the GMT would align with 12 perfectly...

Guess I'll find out soon (hopefully).

Did you reserve a particular number?

Why would it be designed with the lume pip off 12? Doesn’t make sense. The bezel seems happy enough to chill on the halfway point and thus lined up, but we’ll see if it stays that way.

Even so, this is just mad cool:

And the slim midcase is really well-designed, with a funky blue crown insert.

There’s quite a lot here I think for the $1400 or so it cost.

And yep, this one is # 55

I got mine last week but I'm not great with new watches. I tend to leave them in their boxes and never open them. I guess thats why I go vintage - its already scratched so I can't make it much worse.

Do you have any more wrist shots?

If I had the wrist for it, I would already have bought one of the Orient Star GMTs. Some pretty great looking dial versions at very non-Swiss prices. Independent GMT hand too.

Buy one so I can live a little through you :D

    That lume shot is awesome.

Did anyone in the states that has received their watch have to pay duties on it? Mine has apparently been sitting in customs since Friday.

Then why buy new watches? Also, if you can wear vintage watches without adding any new scratches, you can wear new ;) Besides, at $1300 or so this one’s not the most precious new watch to be afraid to scratch...

Today’s wristshot. Very difficult to photograph - either the light is off the bezel, or is reflecting in the crystal.

I didn’t have to pay duty directly, but a customs brokerage did it and charged me 2x duty for the service. Was only $80 or so though so I didn’t kick up a fuss

I just looked those up. Only one style caught my attention. But not enough to make me want to purchase.

    The search continues.

Mine arrived today. Bezel is just slightly misaligned, which is disappointing, but I can live with it.

Will try to get some wrist shots this weekend. My first GMT! Currently have the second timezone set to Korea where most of my wife's family lives.

Hmm, 2 for 2 so far here between yours and mine. Wonder if it was in fact designed that way, and if so, why?

Like I said, it's easy to just leave it between clicks (and lined up) but the bezel lock does not prevent it from moving.

Still, after a full day of wearing it yesterday, I really like it!

Mine is a Black and Red bezel and it too is waiting in Customs. I am kicking myself for lingering too long on the decision to purchase and when I decided to pull the trigger all the blue/grey bezels were gone. I too had to pay a $78 duty through some company and just received that notification yesterday afternoon. Apparently my watch has been sitting at customs since 12/6/19. Why it took so long to get my customs fee notification is odd. But, hopefully it’s on the way. Will post pictures when I get it.
This is kind of a weird time for me watch wise as just a couple of days after I purchased the Yema, I lucked into a Rolex 16610 at a could not pass up price. It’s the one I had been waiting for; a 2000 manufactured with SEL and drilled lug holes. I actually tried to cancel the Yema; however, was told “no” by Yema. Not that big of a deal, and I think I will enjoy it none the less, or move it on if I don’t.
The 16610 I found is the perfect sub in my opinion as I dont care for the newer ones case shape and it has SuperLuminova and is still amazingly bright. It needed a case polish/work as it was over polished and the price reflected this. I live 1.5 hours drive from Rolliworks, and dropped it off with them two weeks ago. They are working on it now. So, two watches at the same time is crazy for me. But, even with the cost of the work on the 16610 I am still very good on the price. It’s a lifetime keeper so I didn’t mind spending the money on it.
Looking forward to my new Yema now too... please show up soon!

Just got mine this afternoon. Packaging was nice and it comes with a one watch travel case that is leather and very nicely made. Overall, I think it was a good value. It seems well made and the all brushed finish is really nice, it lends itself more to the tool watch with zero polishing. Well, almost zero, the Y on the crown is the only polished part on it. I discover that the blue on the end of the crown is just a protective coating and comes right off with solvent. I like the size and for my 7-7.25 inch wrist it wears perfectly for me. Still wish I could have jumped in sooner and got the blue/grey but, the coke was my second choice. I would have liked to have seen something even more unusual like green and yellow, or orange and black, so as to set it apart form looking too much like a Rolex GMT. But, I also do see it as being too close either. I really like the clasp on the bracelet as it tapers down to 16mm. I hate most of the newer bracelets that are 20/18, they just dont feel or look right to me. The drilled lug holes are nice, and I think that this watch will have a good assortment of straps if I can find 19’s or modify 20mm’s to work. Still 20mm would have made it very nice indeed. The lume on it is very good, and I tried to get some pictures but, my camera just would not cooperate on it. Cheers, Michael

Good to see the Coke has started shipping, no sign of mine yet, guessing January now.

I see the bezel on yours is half a notch adrift too, seems a common occurrence, that may annoy my OCD, will see how it goes.

Yeah, that bezel is a tick off. I can live with it, but, generally that kind of thing bothers me. Once my customs fees were paid, they never sent me anything that said when it would arrive. After two days I emailed the customs broker and asked on delivery. As it happens they had it shipped fed-ex and it arrived the same day. So, likely it will just show up. There was not a signature required.

Well, I have worn this watch twice since I got it; I am just not bonding with it for some reason. I can’t exactly say why that is. I am now looking to sell it to help fund a Seamaster 300 GMT.

Received mine yesterday, not had time to size yet, will see how I get on with it. Initially seems a little small and the sapphire doesn’t have the clarity of a hesalite, maybe milky ring. Quality seems good though, all brushed finish is very good, see if we bond.

Huh. Mine came with me on a work trip to Amsterdam last week and was every bit the companion I thought it’d be. I do wish it had a plexi crystal rather than sapphire though
