Speed Skating 10k @ Rho Fiera Milano. I have been here once before for a car show. The place is enormous. If I am not mistaken they are also having a leather trade show at the same time.

Great photos. And that Omega clock. After you pack up and head home… will that display look like this?

Forgot to mention my hotel clock. Hotel Genoa in Turin. Literally across the street from the train station in Turin.
It is literally a longer walk from the back of some of these trains to the station, than the station to the hotel.

I am going to go woth Ice Hockey. My wife has been watching the games every day, all day. I suppose having 7 brothers might influence ones interest in sport.

Not my best effort with the iPhone here, may have better when I can get them off my camera. Decided I wanted to watch hockey and not take photos so as not to miss the action. Wish I had read the rules for photography as they only allow lenses less than 200mm in length as I think @Archer mentioned for Australian tennis. I don’t really have anything that would work lens wise, but I could left 2 of my bigger lenses at home.

Almost forgot. The mascots are Ermines.
Milo and Tina. I think the little one is Flo, the environmental mascot.

Today is a forced day off, even though we both need it. We are staying in Torino which is a 50 minute train from one of the event locations. We had tickets to see USA vs Germany in ice hockey at 9:15 tonight at an arena on the other side of Milano from us. The last train to Torino leaves at like 9:30 so we had to sell our tickets, so not a huge financial loss. You can’t know these schedules buying tickets a year in advance, lesson learned. We had to skip Woman’s biathlon because the shuttles from biathalon to Cortina took 3 hours. So for the day in Torino we are not seeing, the shroud, not seeing the Egyptian museum, not seeing the armory museum, not seeing the Automobile museum, We are going to IKEA. And no I am not crazy, just wait a few hours.

The building is a ginormous ex Fiat factory built in 1923. It’s like a 1/2 mile long. In it is IKEA, hotels, a museum and a shopping center. The cars were built bottom up and tested on the roof and driven down the spirals on ends. Seems pictures are giving me troubles. Must be my new hotel internet.

Last day at the Olympics and more speed skating yesterday. Italy took gold men’s in men’s pursuit. Took the train from Torino to Roma this morning. View out the front of our hotel and time for a little relaxing.

These photos have been outstanding. Have to say this has been one of the most picturesque sites ever for an Olympics.
