Wyler 1940’s?

Interesting Wyler with a great patina, fantastic numerals and 13-24 (hour) outer track rather than the more typical seconds. Strap is a lovely old canvas job, presumably original. Any thoughts on a date for this? I have been told 1940’s. The numeral font is not one I have come across before either.

The dial is certainly from the American Art Deco period, so I think the first half of the 40s.
It would be interesting to see the movement.
The strap is definitely not original and, honestly, I would change it.

I’ll try to get you a picture of the movement. (What are you expecting?) I really rather like the strap. I have so many other watches and this is a bit different.

Given the poor condition of the dial, the movement has probably taken on moisture and needs to be serviced.
As for the strap, at the time, they were only made of leather. But if you like it...

I sent two Wyler’s to my watch builder… he liked this one:-

‘The dark dial Wyler was the very quick fix I hoped it would be. Just needed a screw doing up. Took longer to get the back off. It also looks very very reasonable on the timegrapher. It should be ok for now.’
