Purchased this WWW last week on a hunch that it is a rare WWW from the 70's delivered to the Kenyan Army but there are no marks on the case back which from the research some weren't marked

Movement is a Record 660 similar to the Longines 700 series

Came today abit of plastic polish and a tinker with the movement got it running

The hands the Tritium just fell off when I removed it from the case go gave them a slight clean up

New stem and correct crown ordered

Applied to Longines for a extract but I doubt they will issue one

Amazing piece, the case is still sharp. The color of the aged lume spots are killer
    nice catch...

I picked up this Record Geneve from another OF member a few weeks ago. Beautiful watch. Love the Guilloche dial.

Tis a beauty and always nice when a mil. spec watch is resurrected :> Case looks great, twould be nice to see the caseback markings both in and out. I do notice the top springbar is not fixed...were Kenyan issue like this?

Since Record and Longines were different companies (although they did collaborate) very unlikely Longines would have information in the archives. I could be wrong, funnier truths with Longines have always been abound...

Longines bought out Record in the 60's I believe

No Markings at all on the case back but doing abit of research not all of them were marked

Nice catch! Looks like the lume on the hands had aged to a darker shade of Orange than the dial so reluming doesn’t need to be critical for color match- you can play with pigment until you get close.
