Good afternoon Fellas,

New member here and avid collector of WWII timepieces.
I’ve recently added this lovely Omega to sit alongside my ATP watches, no obvious markings but surely the dial says it would have a military connection?
Any information would be very much appreciated.

Well it would appear to have the classic hallmarks of the British army ATP’s issued of the time. Small watch with sub seconds and luminous hands and numbers. Any opinions most welcome.

It's a very common design for watches of that age, there are probably no military connections.

Hi and welcome
These 2165 CS(I) watches have been often discussed on the forum.
Here is one of the threads where they have been discussed.

Thanks Chris, very interesting. This particular watch was first sold pre internet and sadly there is no history attached to it.
To my untrained eye it just had all the elements of the British Military watches of the time. Plus the numbers are slightly different to the ones in the thread, definitely more ATP in style with the lume.

Looks a lot like the watch in my avatar (not military, postwar).

Hi again
I picked up mine last year on eBay. It was just listed as an omega watch, but I expected it was a 2165.
Whilst it’s working, I would still like to get a service on it and replace the lume on the hands that is missing.

That’s another nice example, have you been tempted to contact Omega archives for any info they may have?

Yes, that could be interesting to get some more details about it eventually, although I have a couple of others Watches I’d prioritise before this one.

I doubt that many people are willing to pay for an extract for a CS(I) watch, given that the upside isn't particularly high, since the engraving already tells you where the watch was sent.
