Had the pleasure of experiencing the SBGA407 in the metal today. The dial is a work of art and the case polishing is just as good as everyone says. An all round beautiful piece.
I was really quite taken with it and it’s definitely on “the list”.
Here is my first Seiko, nothing fancy but I really like it, the fit and finish is excellent. Was not sure about a brown watch when I saw the sellers pictures but it is great irl.
New arrival, this is the chrono I've been wanting. A 1964 ref 45899 made for the Tokyo Olympics. Far from pristine, but it's quite hard to find these that haven't been tampered with and with an intact bakelite bezel, so I'm pleased to get this one. Under the damaged crystal, the dial is quite clean, but I'm not going to bother polishing the crystal since I have a correct replacement.
I like the proportions of this one much better than the hockey puck. I got one of them as a birth-watch last year for my brother's 50th birthday, and was so sad to let it go that I eventually bought another one for myself. The one with the nicer bezel went to my brother.
