Another new addition to the family... I chose the SBDX001 over the more modern MM300’s because of my preference for the lume colour and a lack of diasheild. That it’s the original is just icing on the cake 😀

This one is quite late for an 001, produced in May of ‘14 which I believe is right near the end of production.

Here it is next to its diver cousins... one more diver in transit and I’ll be done for a while 😎

I bought this in an auction; it was pricey but the auctioneer was quite hard to deal with so I think they managed to put a good deal of international buyers off. Lucky me 😀 I was irrationally excited for it to arrive as you never know how good the watch in a remote auction will be in hand; in this case, it's fabulous. Better than I ever thought it could be.

It's a 5717-8990 single-pusher chronograph from April 1966; pretty unusual to have a black/grey dial and it looks to be in really good nick.

An absolute stunner! Congrats man... wow. I have a 6306 on the way one via a Yahoo Japan auction... I have high hopes, but I definite I know what you mean about how you never know till it arrives. Bad seller’s pic below:

The colour of the lume is outstanding. Nice pickup.

Chapter ring dyed, it's looking quite poguey now!

I'm always excited to put this on - perhaps the only thing that makes me nostalgic for the 1990s
