Looks like an early production 6309 you have there.

Congrats.

Very happy with this Seiko Turtle Prospex SRPC49K1. Normally pvd coating isn't my thing, but I couldn't pass on this one when it came by through the second hand circuit. These retailed at €450 euro, and resell values have close to doubled by now. Managed to get my hands on one for a reasonable mark-up 😗

I agree, Seiko deserves a subforum. Affordable, quality pieces, and a lot of great vintage ones too.

My 7018-7001 Flyback.

I tried on an Aussie only LE recently. No Pic, but it weighed a ton. They should have gone for titanium.

I really love these MM200 cases...

I suppose the MM300 and MM200 pieces deserve their own respective nicknames?

Ive actually been recently fascinated by the Seiko day wheels. Specifically for turtles.

I’ve seen (and have) the following languages together with English used in the turtle day wheel:

1. Spanish - most common in our part of Asia
2. Latin (Roman Numerals)
3. Japanese (Kanji) - on JDMs
4. Chinese
5. French
6. Arabic

Now ive seen a German. Have to have one. Hehe.

I have an Italian, but in a vintage pogue. Not a turtle.

Curious to see a Thai since Seiko is big in Thailand. But the Thai LEs i have use Roman numerals. Was curious about German also since Seiko is big in Germany as well. But now my curiosity is half-satisfied.
Interesting point about the Thai day wheels. Never seen a day wheel in Thai script nor the numerals. I'll be emailing the service centre in Bangkok today, I'll ask them.
