I thought 2012 resolution was less boats?

BTW since you spent Submariner money buying a new gearbox for the Dosia, feel free to post a picture of the new trans in the WRUW thread in lieu of Rolex Steel.

I'll make the resolutions: less boats, more watches, don't get fat. 👍

Going with the '59 reference 2943 caliber 504 on Saturday:
Wow, that's really nice.

I recently took this in trade. It certainly shows its age and heavy usage. But what the previous owner didn't tell me is that it runs +3 minutes per day (he said it runs off a couple minutes in a few weeks - yeh, I wish). So it's a beater for Saturday projects and chores around the house for now. Maybe one day I'll get it fixed up.

Thanks Trev. It's getting the most wrist time of all my vintage Omegas.

Mike, I have a watchmaker that can spruce that up much cheaper, with as good quality work, as the factory can. Shoot me a PM or e-mail if/when you're ready.

Thanks. I'll probably contact you in a couple of months when I get funds for a repair. I have a repairman who will do mechanical service for a very affordable price. The expensive part is the bezel and bezel insert. I guess those will be similar price from almost every source.

Mike.

Do you use tangs on all of yours or have you tried the Omega OEM deployant? I absolutely love mine, looks excellent on leather straps.

Tangs on all. I've never found a deployant that sits perfectly on the underside of my wrist.
