Got the SM300 back, this thing is seriously more comfortable than a steel divers watch has any right being, the bracelet is awesome, and the curved lugs on the case taper brilliantly, making it both lighter than a submariner and more sturdy.
That looks like a cool sports watch, So what are your findings Dennis ??.
I liked it except for a few small details:
- no screw in crown (not a deal breaker)
- the second hand misses the markers (typical of quartz)
- the crown dug into the back of my hand when I lifted my hand as if to make a 'stop' guesture (typical of 43+ mm watches, and why I don't own any)
I'm wearing this beater that I took in trade a little while ago. It is surprising to me to have an Omega as a beater, but it feels oddly satisfying. This was already in this rough shape when I got it a couple of months ago. I plan to get a new bezel for it eventually. But with the damage on it now, I'm not afraid to wear it anywhere. The bezel is the most exposed part that can be damaged (other than the slight danger of smashing the sapphire crystal). A few more scratches can't hurt it at this point.
Actually looks pretty badass like that, I'd be half tempted to keep the bezel as is you know. Makes it look like a properly used diver rather than a suit wearing metrosexual's accessory.
