It's a Longines Sunday. Starting with the '61 Flagship caliber 341:

Interesting place to put the date, I can imagine the Longines guys watching Omega's release of the Seamaster calendar, with its unconventional date at 6, and saying "We can do better than that, we'll stick it right up the top, BOOM nobody saw that coming!" 馃槣

Now that's interesting, did you use an ipad or something for the background?

Yes, iPad as background, photo of city lights I took in Japan. iPhone is the light source reflected in the crystal.

Unfortunately it isn't better. The date at 6 is much easier to read. Either way, oddities like this window placement are more collectable. Longines only made this version for one year in '61. They did it with a version of the Conquest caliber 291 in '60 also. (look for that one in the coming days)

'60 Gen猫ve 14.703 caliber 562 (for a certain BoR fanatic):

Hmm... that BoR looks fishy for some reason. Endlinks look different, sides of the normal links look flatter and squarer. Is that a 1970s edition or a later version?

This is the one I'm comparing it to:

Was trying to impress a lady today... Rolex tends to be the most effective tool for that job.

That and the lavender shirt, chicks all comment on the lavender.

I think there are 2 variants. One is the 7 row and one is the 5 row. I think the 5 row is older, which is the one you and Dennis have. My end pieces are like yours though.

This one is modified to fit on this case. It didn't fit properly so some crazy things had to be done to the end links. Desmond has one just like it and we've both always wondered if it was a later remake.

Wearing this again after a long time, goes very nicely with blue stripe shirts

Pic I took back in January... Half of Queensland was flooded, included this Lexus dealership 400m from our house, but I managed a wrist shot, because that's just how I roll:
