TROPICAL DIAL ...

BULOVA DEEP SEA 666FEET DIVER CHRONOGRAPH ... model B

she has reached the perfect DEEP chocolate brown black shade , her lume has turned mustard yellow, her once pure white hour and minute sub dials have also aged to an off white / yellowish brown shade ...

misc:
A small handful of dial suppliers in Switzerland used paint which had a chemical manufacturing defect that was not as UV-resistant as was assumed. The irony was that discovering the defect took a number of years because the dials would not discolor after brief exposure to sunlight, but only after years of it.

Birth year 105.003-64 on an Omega barenia/novonappa NATO for today…

Did an Omega NATO switcheroo to scarlet and gold for the United States Marine Corps birthday which is today…see pic below.

Even though I’m a Navy dude, I have an extreme admiration for the Corps due to being Marine Corps trained during AOCS as well as having several Marine Corps flight instructors during Navy primary/intermediate/advanced pilot training.

Happy birthday to the United States Marine Corps! 👍

Try as I might, it's been almost impossible to show the beautiful color of this dial. It is a very deep indigo that looks great under natural light and very hard to capture in photos. Purchased from a "thrift shop" type of place in Greece (I thought the dial was black when I purchased it) along with it's original signed NSA bracelet....just serviced and now happily on the wrist.
