Funeral Friday, this time my father-in-law. He was 90 and well past his expiration date.

Perfect to go with the suit and tie.

♫"When you're happy and you know it wear a watch!"

Mrs. noekekal and I went to a program put on by the local county historical society last Saturday afternoon up the road at the Itasca, Texas depot. It was about railroading in the region. The depot has a small museum full of old stuff from railroading and local bygone times. I fired up ol' Sangamo, the Illinois Sangamo Special pocket watch that morning in anticipation of the occasion. We enjoyed the fun program and snacks. I brought up railroad timekeeping which was barely mentioned by the two program speakers and boosted pocket watches a bit.

Ol' Sangamo was still ticking cheerily this morning where I left him on the bedroom dresser, some 48 hours after his winding Saturday morning, so he went along for the day today.
