Still wearing my groveling entry level radito but this was a day for the books. Started this AM had to get gas saw a guy frantically banging on a car then open the door, he screamed for someone to call 911. I walked over just see if he was alright and the poor guys daughter had OD’d in her car. I had 2 4mg narcan which she somewhat responded to, for some reason the cops had none. EMS showed up with that 7inch tube of narcan they use and that improved the situation. Narcan was made for herion not fentanyl so sometimes you need 6 of the 4mg ones. Most I’ve used is 8.

Great start to the morning I just gave them my name and took off as I had to get someone to cancer treatment which was another bummer but I met a guy coming out of chemo who commented on my Beatles hat and he was wearing a beautiful gold omega pie pan. He bought it celebrating his marriage I think (guy was in his 70’s) so he appreciated the comment on his watch.

I was amazed at the oncology staff as I went back with the poor dude dealing with the issue to help him through it and they have a perfect mix of humor and compassion. That has to be a very tough job. Don’t think I could do it. And the doctor who gives out the diagnosis man he got a way to talk to people. Still a bummer of course glad this day is wrapped up. We did make a new friend at the fish tank while waiting at least.

WWI-era conversion. The movement is 1895. The dial was fancy floral etc and damn the "originality", if I was going to wear a trench conversion, it was damned well going to look like a trench conversion!

Used dial sourced on eBay, hands NOS from Otto Frei. Strap from eBay seller whose ID I don't recall at the moment.

Well done you. I wouldn’t have had a clue what to do. I’m always impressed by people who can step up and make a difference.

Since the green Girard-Perregaux Gyromatic got a new, old bracelet upgrade, I couldn't leave the blue one out.

Honestly is not overwhelming it’s trying to maintain calm so you do it right that’s difficult. You literally just do a nasal spray delivery then rub their chests to cause discomfort see if that brings them around. If not then it gets hairy but in this case the gas station is literally two buildings down from the ambulance so my intervention fortunately helped and as always you hope someone who knows more than you shows up quickly and they did. Why the cops had no narcan in this day and age puzzled me but they seemed content to cross their arms and observe.
