An uncommon Seiko SHX007 ana-digi diver (not to be confused with the other Seiko 007 diver) on a Haveston nato strap.

Probably my favourite watch. Please forgive me for showing it for the umpteenth time. This is my one owner (me) Bulova Accutron from 1964. It is soon to be 60 years old. Looks like new, runs like new. I have worn this watch on most days that were significant, in those decades (our wedding in 1966, our son’s christening in 1972, to Expo ‘67 in Montreal, at our 50th anniversary banquet in 2016, at our 55th wedding anniversary soirée in 2021.) The gold filled case still shows no brass. The dial is a NOS duplicate of the original which was spoiled when I was caught in a rainstorm in the line up to get into the Czech Pavilion, at Expo ‘67.

Behind the scene of photographic efforts of DaveK lanyards for pocket watches. Running out between showers on a heavy cloudy day.

I used to prefer dates to non-dates. For some reason, I thought that for work I needed to glance at the date (!?)

Don't know what I was thinking in those days. Also didn't have the appreciation for patina and wear that I do now.

I've been wearing more and more of my simple non-date pieces and really enjoying them..

It’s all about the date
When on a temporary watch fast for whatever reason a quick strap change can give you the feeling of a new watch
