Tuesday so Adam Lewis’ 321 cal Ultraman creation - best of all worlds - 321 ticking away in original mid case with service stepped dial and bezel/chrono hand from Speedy Tuesday II and waterproof to boot so comes fishing with me…
From this morning, a Lucien Piccard Sea Shark in solid white gold.
Don't think even the early incarnation of Lucien Piccard gets much love, but it's really a good serviceable watch from the late1950s (perhaps?) with a A. Schild movement. Hasn't been worn in over a year. I ought to do better. I ought to lose the garish orange-y tan strap and go with something more subdued, but it can be fun for summer. I think I could get used to some white gold. OOOooo... shiny!
I rarely post a Speedmaster on Tuesday, although I have a Speedmaster, and a Speedmaster reduced. So in preparation for Speedy Tuesday (tomorrow), I’ll fish the Speedmaster reduced out of the vault, and wear it tomorrow. I’ve had this watch for 32 years, and up until 2021, I had always worn it on a steel Omega bracelet. Then I acquired a decent black buffalo hide strap, tried it on the watch, and I prefer the look. It suits the black dial. 18-karat rose gold bezel, stainless steel case, rose gold sub dials on a matte black background. For Europe only, and for only a short time.
