Wearing two again today. I got into a telephone discussion with a 98-year old, retired RCN (Royal Canadian Navy) captain over his Accutron which had quit. I have looked after this watch for 40 years, for him. I told him it needed a cell. He told me the the CPR never would have approved a battery watch. (He worked for CPRail for 40 years). I told him that they indeed DID. Before he got here with his watch, I dug these two out, and was wearing them when he got here. I replaced the cell, and gave it back. He asked what was wrong, and I told him I replaced the cell. He told me it doesn’t HAVE a cell. I told him have been putting batteries into for 40 years, for him! I’ve forgiven him. He’s 98!

Late post, I took this earlier and completely forgot to share it. New playful addition to the strap collection 😀

Switcheroo from my 321 to my 3861 for a 2:21:10 group ride…started leg cramping at about the 1.5 hour point…luckily, I didn’t get dropped…because if you’re wearing a 7-ELEVEN kit, that would look really, really bad. Anyway, nobody [except for me] was impressed with my manual wind 3861 cycling computer mounted via an Omega Velcro strap…

Mad Dog,

We’re impressed! We’re impressed! If you want to impress the others in the group, use the same tinker toy Garmin that everyone else used!
