Hi Mad Dog
Do you notice a difference in accuracy between 1861 and 3861 ?

I’m not noticing much of a difference regarding when the 1861 was new [2015] and the 3861 which I purchased about a week ago. The 1861 was about +2 seconds per 24 hours on the wrist when new and the 3861 is currently about +2 seconds per 24 hours on the wrist.

Over the years, the 1861 ran faster…it got up to about +15 seconds per 24 hours on the wrist. A few years ago, I manipulated the 1861’s regulator so it would run slower and was able to get it to about +5 seconds per 24 hours on the wrist.

Long layover in Seattle [Bellevue]…walked down to the Omega Boutique to see if they had any cool Omega straps/bands for my new 3861. They had one Omega replica NASA strap…which they said was their least popular strap/band! OMG! It’s my mostest favoritest strap/band! Had to get it! YAY!

Sunny Sunday here so went out earlier to avoid the picnics, Jim can smell one at 150 yards (and he’s a taker not a sharer).

This one has been in dry dock for several years. Gruen Curvex calibre 330. The movement is contoured in such a fashion as to fit the radically arched case. This one can be used on the side of the wrist, as a “driver’s” watch. Case back engraved with a 1937 presentation date, gifted to a late 19th century local jeweller.
