I have been eying one of these for a long time, but the size has deterred me (small wrists). Where is the crystal? 😀

I have tiny wrists, as you can tell, but I generally don't care and wear whatever fits. The bracelet of the Fortis is very comfortable, so they wear quite nicely, despite their size and weight.
Your question regarding the crystal is, I guess, a testament to the anti-reflective coating inside and outside? 😀

Yep. The Fortis AR coating is the best I have seen. I have a Fortis B42 Marinemaster with Fortis bracelet and it's great.
