·Good morning all. 1959 Seamaster reference 2996 a/k/a one of the “Seachero” variants - Seamaster dial and hands in a Ranchero case. This one is unusual because neither the hands nor the indices are lumed.

·Observation and sometimes I wonder the reason. This watch gets far fewer likes than any other watch in my collection. Is it Oris? Is it the fact that it’s clearly a gimmick and Star Wars tie in? Yet another LE? Although 1300 is a fairly low production number, it’s not 10. Is it the design of the Aquis? It’s legible, in-house movement, 300M water resistance….
Anyway, I like it, which is all that matters. I’m just thinking out loud.
