Don’t hate but I’m wearing my amaze-ing watch. Now hold up I’m in the midst of battle with the mother of all bees nests I thought I’d get a break today as last night The news said we were getting a “category 2” storm. I was kinda happy as tbh I have no idea how I’m gonna remove this nest but imo it does not look stormy today which means I need to figure something out.

Yesterday ... and today. Late 1940s 18kt gold Longines with 27M movement. Sunday-go-to-meeting choice yesterday and the squirrel watching overhead from the back yard oak tree while I took the photo said he likes it.

A writer for Rescapement recommended this article explaining how a mechanical watch actually works. They were right...the animations alone are worth the time you'll spend looking at this.
I know this may be remedial education for a lot of people here but it was pretty enlightening for me.
I had NO IDEA just how complicated the winding mechanism (keyless works now that I've been educated) actually is ! Amazing.

Morning coffee aided by the 2nd execution 1163T with alternate period blue strap today…
And yes - that’s not today’s date (even in the Southern Hemisphere) - too much winding with no quick set!

Just got this back from a warranty servicing. Quickly put it back on the rubber strap and loving it.
