Good chore watch for Friday the 13th…timing buffer duty at my local VFW Post 1042 with my new 3861…

It says a lot that you’re still volunteering. No matter what most here and 4 out of 5 dentists say about you, you’re ok.
And I’m digging this latest and LAST (in case my wife ever reads this) Daytona.

In my opinion nicer with vertical decking. I thought all the new ones have vertical decking?

Vostok this evening before it hits the sales,

I have two Vostok’s very unique and quirky. Don’t ever sell as I doubt they can be purchased again after the situation in Ukraine.

Quick watch change and burn through the yard to mow it. If my wife thinks all I did today was play guitar and screw around with stocks I’ll be in the dog house. Last week I wrote her a love song named “she ain’t bright but she alright.” It certainly did not go over as planned. So yeah took me all day to mow this very tired now

I saw this watch months ago in an antique store and I couldn't keep it out of my mind. So today I bought it. The movement is going to need some looking after but I bought it regardless. I think its a Schild movement but not sure.
On closer inspection the guilloche (?) is more interesting than I expected. And the markers are cut in and gilded...not applied.
I know close to nothing about the brand so if anybody wants to express their knowledge I'm all ears.
(Edit: Considering some other more learned opinions, perhaps not actually guilloche so maybe I'll say "patterning")

Very cool dial!

I’m not sure I would have been able to sleep through even one night without buying it…

Tonight, I met up with an old friend wearing a new watch… and I fell in love!

Here I am wearing his 36mm OP with jubilee bracelet:

…and all three ‘brothers in time’ wearing our respective newbs: me with my Nivada Grenchen, another friend with his Seamaster AT with silver dial, and the green OP on the owner’s wrist:
