Oh, wow…my new 3861 is going on its maiden flight in my airline buddy’s Pitts S-2B…hope I don’t blow chow…I haven’t done aerobatics since my days as a student Naval Aviator flying the T-34C circa 1987…
LATE ENTRY…
It was pretty fun…for a while…then I started to get a little “green around the gills”. I didn’t “talk on the big white phone” aka “blow chow” but if my buddy had kept it up, I probably would have. Flying inverted pic with the new 3861…
As you well know from the T-34 in your younger days, there’s an acclimation period. 😀 It took me months of flying aerobatics to build up to 30 minute practice sessions. It’s much easier when you’re at the stick than it is to walk through the maneuver with your instructor. At least it was for me. I was seriously green several times. 😜
