My wife sent me this pic of my 1969 Benrus on shell cordovan strap…it was on my dresser last night when I went to sleep.

Both of these are from yesterday. The first thing I unpacked was my watch box so I channeled Barking Mad and wore the hummer to fetch coffee from the neighborhood cafe with the doggo and then switched to the 3861 to go back to the old house and do some more cleanup.

I love this watch, and similar references from Glashütte Original. I would love it even more with a slightly cleaned up dial, less text in various font styles. If anyone from Glashütte Original sees this... think about it?

There are myriad new chores to discover when acquiring a new residential property. I'm outside today digging up bad sprinkler heads for replacement. Never had a lawn sprinkler system before, much less maintained one. We're intending for this to conserve more water when we're done rehab'ing it.

There are lots of broken head entailing a lot more digging than I had anticipated.
