Wore this for a couple of hours in the sunshine today to re-charge the power cell, requisite for getting an overnight radio time sync. It's not really my style but it belonged to my late father, who absolutely adored this watch. He wore it right up to the last few hours of his life, I now wear it with fond memories.

So decided to wear this more often but save the deployment strap by fitting a thick brown Breitling leather 2 piece to it. Very happy.

I had an offer on this one yesterday. I acquired this rose gold filled Omega jumbo, manual wind, and an Omega Cosmic 2000 on a barter deal, about 20 years ago. This one is circa 1954. They came from a friend who wanted to give them to me. I told him that I would only consider them to be mine if he’d name his price. He was adamant! He wouldn’t accept payment for them. But he told me that his grand daughter had a gold chain that needed repair. If I would fix it for him, we had a deal. I took the chain to a goldsmith friend who charged me $5.00 to gold solder it. I ended up with the watches. I told this story to a friend yesterday, and he offered me double the money for this one! I turned him down!
