When I was on vacation the clasp broke on my Seamaster 300. This is the late model 300 with, it turns out, the same model clasp others and I have used to modify our Speedmasters to have a micro adjustment. The 117STZ00154.
I bought this watch pre-owned and apparently one of the two coil springs in the clasp was already missing; the other broke.
I tackled this repair myself, for better or worse. It took a couple of weeks to source the OEM parts and an hour to get the very tiny fiddly bits and springs properly in place.
My rather attractive coworker asked me if I’d like a coffee. Usually we get the “dollar any size” as we drink a gallon a day. She came back with a large Dunkin’ Donuts I must be looking fine today with my elegant KS
