Let’s face it. With a 1,600 year half life, the stuff has some mojo.
Yes, it sticks around. Why, if you wear that watch 24-7 for 4 years, you'll have given your wrist a CAT scan's worth of radiation. 🙄

One of the most special watches I own this evening, apologies to those who have already heard this story but it was a surprise gift from the love of my life 🥰

You know that I'm kidding. If I was concerned about the radium, I wouldn't have bought the watch. I have no plans to lick the dial. 😁

I'm on a week’s holiday at the seaside (bizarre in March in the UK) so I’ve only packed four watches 😀

Fantastic Friday! I’m excited to end the week with some time off to get moved into a new home.

Funny thing about the hummer… I don't wear it very often, and at lunch today the Mrs asked, "What's that noise? It's like some siren? You don't hear that?" I thought she was losing it until I realized she was hearing the tuning fork. I have to put it up to my ear so that it's touching to hear it but she can hear from practically across the room.

More Aqua than Terra, offshore the coast of Florida. Photo from yesterday; we got back into St. Augustine this morning with a boatload of fish.
