Wow... the rank hypocrisy demonstrated by a court posting that sign is truly breathtaking.
I find it almost insulting to the intelligence of the poor souls I see sitting in the public defenders office waiting to get a chance to talk to their P.D. I have the desire to ask one of them their thoughts of the quote but the majority of them that I Interact with are very dedicated and show up to fight everyday. One of them had 5 murder cases and a bunch of little cases. How Could someone properly defend 5 murder cases going on at two different courts. But it is not the fault of the public defender as an individual he/she/they are doing the best the can under what must be amazingly stressful conditions. That quote though, gets me every time.

Afternoon change out as this new to me watch arrived at lunchtime.
An as new Hafis 25 Jewel automatic 0 signs of wear as is the original Hafis box it came in, I am a lucky man this is drop dead gorgeous.

The sunburst texture and polished surfaces just flash the sunlight around all over the place, should have cleaned it with a microcloth prior to photographing it.

Will wear it for a week and see if it needs a service as I know nothing of it's previous history.

I am guessing by it design that it is probably one of the last Hafis did before closing their doors.

A friend is a defender who specializes in deathrow cases. He has more than a handful at any time. Talk about pressure and stress: He has people's lives in his hands every day.

God bless him I can鈥檛 imagine. I just don鈥檛 see how they can provide adequate representation when juggling such serious cases. I have to testify in a minor case in may and even doing things like that makes me very uncomfortable I do not like when words I use could possibly have a negative impact on someone鈥檚 life. Although I agreed to do this if I can鈥檛 just use a prepared statement I鈥檒l probably ask them not to call me as I can鈥檛 lie under oath and if I were to be asked certain questions it may have the opposite outcome that I desire (which is to help someone out) I find the whole process a bit intimidating and I have a lot of respect for those who do that high stress level work each day it鈥檚 very easy to criticize public defenders but they are doing the best they can under difficult situation. On a positive note masks are now optional in court the Marshalls informed me with glee in their eyes but I鈥檓 hoping my court visits are few and far in between.

Edit forgive me I鈥檓 rambling a bit and this is not the proper place I鈥檓 just a bit run down so let me add a picture of the hurly durly watch I picked up from service today.
