Wearing this Zodiac “Glorious” today…bought it a few years ago “not working” from flea market junk box for $5. Someone had installed an incorrect crown having a long tube so when fully wound it actually pulled the stem out to the “set” position making the watch appear to be broken. I put a different crown on it and it was off and running. Doesn’t get the wrist time it deserves.

Co-developed by the famous Jacques Cousteau, the Self Contained Underwater Breathing Apparatus (SCUBA) tank changed the face of diving for professionals and enthusiasts alike. Dubbed the “AquaLung”, a diver could stay under longer, go deeper and all with more freedom to carry out important tasks, or explore for enjoyment. Dive watches like this were originally sold under the Spirotechnique and Dato-Matic names and ultimately branded as AquaLung for the European market. The U.S Divers Co. co-branded them with U.S. Divers added to the bottom of the dial (for export to North America) throughout the 1960’s and 1970’s. This example is AuqaLung Ref. 1573-666 from the early 1960’s and uses an A. Schild case and is powered by a A. Schild signed Felsa Calibre 4004 movement. The 666 in the reference indicated a depth rating of 666 feet.

This lovely little Tissot. It belonged to my granddad and he gave it to me today. I don't know the year yet but am guessing 60s/70s? Any help pretty please? 😀

Received a message asking about the background to this shot, it is actually JCW Mini Special.
Fully rebuilt from new with a long list of modifications from short shift box, full leather all the way through to mood lighting etc.etc.

Just returning home as I was meeting a contact to sell a few watches. I am a terrible seller but I wanted to sell some things in hopes of getting a railmaster. Anyway sold a couple things but he was “light on cash” this week so wanted me to cut him a deal and he will “contact me next week to buy more.” Ya sure never heard that before. So didn’t make it to my railmaster goal and now I’m going through that postpartum Watch separation which makes me the terrible seller I am. Oh well I’ll snap out of it.
