I switched to this watch, as it seemed appropriate today...a watch inspired by a pivotal geopolitical event. The Nomos Orion Berlin '89 commemorates the liberation of the former DDR from the tyranny of the Soviet Empire, the reunification of Germany, and the revival of the Glashutte watchmaking industry.

Beautiful Watch. How accurate is it?

This is the watch that was presented to my very brave Ukrainian father in law, who was involved in the cleanup of Chernobyl. I can only imagine what he thinks of the news last night that Russian soldiers attacked another nuclear plant in Ukraine.

He and his wife recently left Kyiv to seek safety at a rundown dacha outside the city with no heat or running water. My wife's brother has to remain in Kyiv and is a hero, just like his father.

For a change, and to get away from the squelchy mud of the Heath, the dog and I took an urban stroll down Portobello Road

But decided to change to a real Connie
