Strange goings on. I purchased this back in October 2021 and it has been exceptionally accurate since then. To get an impression of just how accurate I synchronized it on 1st Jan 2022 and looked again on 1st Feb 2022; just 20 seconds fast. I didn’t even open the crown during that time, just used it as my everyday watch (hence the lack of postings here).
This morning I noticed it had stopped. I guessed it was because I hadn’t been wearing it for the last few days. So reset it at 10:20, fully wound it and set it aside (dial down). When I came back to it at circa 15:00 it was way off, although the seconds were correct, odd.
So I guess it goes back to Omega for a check up. Pity, because it was doing so well up to now.
Today, my mildly modded 51-year old Rolex Air-King Date. One owner, me, won in a Rolex sales contest in 1971. Last year, it occurred to me that I had a genuine Rolex NOS 14-karat Oyster bezel in my stash. I don’t recall how I ended up with it, but the price on the envelope was $595.00! So I know I didn’t buy it! I checked the size, and it is a perfect fit for the Air-King, so here is the result. My 50th anniversary Rolex. Bracelet is after-market.
Mini me Bond today. I need to finish one sink as I did four this month but the last one I couldn’t mcguver and needed a basin wrench. So I picked a up a basin wrench for my wife on Valentine’s Day. I don’t think she was too pleased but she is the one who wanted all this work done.
Really nice shots I’d love to try one of those on someday see if I can pull it off. My coworker keeps saying his pixel 6 pro is great for pics I see now why he says that
