I showed this one on Saturday in this thread. I’m wearing it again today. Why am I showing it again? I am astonished at the pattern it shows on my timing machine! It varies between -1 and + 1 seconds per day in the face down position. The proof of the pudding, of course, will be what it does on the wrist.
The date code on this one indicates production in 1970. A Caravelle ad I’ve shown indicates the Caravelle transistorized gent’s watch sold for $39.95 to $49.95, that year. This was a cheap watch at the time! It has 12 jewels, beats 21,600 bph, and the movement was made in Japan. The case in Germany. I serviced it on Saturday, and will wear it for a while to see how it performs. And no, I didn’t test it in the pendant positions. It is not a chronometer!
