This week my favourite birth year repainted dial franken (1958 5504):



When I bought it in the early 80s, there was no internet to get expertise, so I didn't know better.
I am now looking to fix it, but even original Airking dials and hands only come up rarely.
As the 5504 is the bigger diameter (37mm) even fake dials are hard to come by and cost an arm and a leg.
Keep looking.... that one is worth the trouble in my book!

It's the Explorer ref. Is it not. Some would make it an Explorer. Not me lol
