Funny, a 3 say watch. Early morning meeting, then at the Gym ( I actually forgot i had it strapped to my boxing bag, and now.
Do you wear it? I have a similar Hamilton but it's very delicate and the case pops off too easily. Also it needs serviceing. The only antique I have I can wear daily is a Waltham American. circa 1912-1917 according to my family, but possibly 1920's. simple and extremely reliable. I got it from my late father. He said his grandfather wore it during the 1st world war and his father during the Spanish Civil war. Given it is in perfect, and I mean perfect condition, I can only assume they both worked on the Army post office.
Sure, I wear all my vintage Hamiltons, I have them serviced as needed. It wouldn't be nearly as fun to collect these without wearing them!
Yeah, I can't with the Hamilton, the Gruen and the Eberhard I've worn, but they don't quite feel at home on my wrist. I was actually looking to flip them. But can't quite pull the trigger.
Today was another day working on our "new" house - breaking up the bathroom, throwing out an enormous amount of concrete, terrazzo floor, old toilet and an incredibly heavy bath tub. Wearing one of my tool watches for the job: Speedmaster FOIS on Omega 1125 bracelet by Ølholm, on Flickr
