··YaY!Quirky thing about the Solar Impulse Speedy: It was understandably never marketed as a "Professional" Speedmaster. Nowhere on the dial, back, or marketing material is it referred to as Professional...except for one place...the bracelet clasp. 😲
Being titanium, and of identical construction to the X-33 clasp, I thought maybe these were "repurposed" X-33 clasps with the Solar Impulse HB-SIA engraving added after the fact, explaining the carry-over of the engraved Professional marking from the X-33. 😒
But...upon further inspection, that doesn't seem to hold water. The font size, arrangement, and even engraving styles are different from my Gen 2 X-33. Not to mention the engraving of the different bracelet number on the back side. 👎
Oh well...I'm just gonna go with "it's quirky!" 😜
