Put a new genuine crocodile strap in cognac on my 1962 gold capped dog leg Connie. Transferred the original Omega pin buckle to the new strap. Opinions?

Stunning - I’ve always liked yellow gold with brown leather.

Been out thrift shopping today so had an afternoon change out for a Olympic watch I picked up for cheap, a Ronda movement inside.
Very comfortable but needs a new glass (ordered already) and the stainless watch and strap need a polish which is on my to do next list, cost me $4.00 (NZ) so not a lot, its very comfortable to wear.

Managed to pick up a few other good deals at the same time.

A lovely German made weight clock $10.00 ( I have the missing bottom left dial ornament, just need to glue it back on) After changing out the inevitably broken pendulum suspension spring and giving a quick lubrication service it's ticking away very accurately.

A Proof Sterling Silver $ 5.00 non-circulating coin (29.2 grams) for very cheap NZ$ 30.00 https://colnect.com/en/coins/coin/9...edition-1952~Today_-_Elizabeth_II-New_Zealand

But my wife found the best deal, some 9K white gold and diamond earrings for NZ$ 2.00, took some convincing from me for her to buy as she thought they were costume jewellery. Major score!

HS9 service chrono acquired from a Scottish RN Fleet Air Arm pilot. Worn, appropriately, on the train from Dundee-->London.
