I have the Elgin variant, but recased for the Koren conflict era around the time of the A17
Both of these are absolutely lovely! I should have known you would have, as I now remember seeing your Elgin. I love the creme color of these dials and these hands. Beautiful

There were so many variations of these Ord watches, late war to early 50’s, that you can have a dozen that are all slightly different. The example @Lou P has is sensational, and early, and original. Mine is a neat piece in that it’s like a reasrsenaled pistol, taken from one war, refurbished to spec and reissued for the next.
