So you push this button here which pivots that lever there and engages these gears that move this big hand here and then this cam moves this little hand here. Its simple really!

I opted for a watch with a date feature, today. One of my Accutrons, this one a 218 from 1967. It is 54 years old, and still humming! The bracelet is not one of my faves, but it’ll do for as long as I’ll likely wear it. I have no idea where this one originated fro. I might have assembled it out of bits and pieces.
