New arrival (Tuesday) finally on the wrist today.

May well be a complete Watchco build but still hoping the case and movement might just be an original pairing.
I hadn't realised Watchco/AboutTime-CH sell vintage bezels until this week. Their listings don't show up on eBay.com.au.

The eBay listing had a movement shot from a different watch so very relieved to find the 550 (US supplied 17 jewels) inside.

As it arrived on Tuesday.

Had hoped the stamped 633 end links were pointing towards an old 1171 but it has a 1171/1. At least it's full length.

Guess only an Extract of Archives/Records will tell it's origins.
Keeping an eye on some Watchco cases that end this afternoon to see if I grabbed a real bargain. Do they really sell any kits (minus movement) at US$3,500? 馃槻

Suspect a bit later, heading off for a service soon so will find out the real story then.

Hi all,

Day 2 for my new Scubapro 500 and its now on my GGB SV1 strap which is not only really comfortable but looks great to IMO. Spent a little while last night polishing the crystal with an old Cape Cod cloth that has cleaned up the few light scratches it had beautifully couldn't believe how black it turned from all the rubbish that was on the crystal which now looks much better and is sparkling really loving this latest pick up as have wanted one of these watches for a long time.
