Not the first time this watch has appeared here . . .
But definitely the first time shown on a 21st century BOR bracelet.
I own a period Enicar BOR bracelet, but I would never dare to wear it on this or any other watch because it has two flaws that are fairly common to BOR bracelets of the time.
a) It does not have a safety or locking clasp. Rather it has a dimple and a embossing that snap in place and tend to wear, putting a watch at risk. Gauge of the steel is thin.
b) It has hollow or open end-links putting the lugs at risk for scratches.
But some BOR bracelets made today use heavier gauge 316 stainless and a positive locking clasp with safety cover and . . . solid milled end-links polished to a mirror finish on the ends that contact the lugs.
Sorry, old Swiss, but your solution back then was cheesy. 😀
I'll put up a separate thread up on this particular bracelet another time.
Double posting today with a special shout-out to @Mad Dog. We were hit pretty hard with rain from last night’s storm here in New Jersey….traffic jams are absolutely crazy. I went out to do some shopping and swung by a a bank in a shopping plaza to use the ATM. Trying to get out of the shopping plaza parking lot I literally didn’t move ten feet in thirty minutes due to the traffic jam in the parking lot resulting from the traffic jams on adjacent roads. And then I spotted the Hooters in the shopping plaza.
I have decided to hold up here until the traffic clears. My request for a martini was returned with the most blank and vacant stare from the bartenderess I have ever encountered. What has become of America’s youth? I feel like I have made a contribution to their education, however, by teaching the young lady how to make the perfect extra-dry gin martini. Cheers! I hope my fellow orphans of the storm are fairing as well.

Did she notice your watch? 😎
Seriously, I asked for an extra dry gin martini and I might as well have been speaking erdu.
She literally didn’t know what a martini was…I’m not certain she knew what a watch or time was. Seriously, I asked for an extra dry gin martini and I might as well have been speaking erdu.
