Just arrived; a Luch “Intelligentsia’s Dream,” caliber 2209 from the Minsk factory. Manual wind from the late 60’s - 70’s. Dating Soviet watches is… problematic.

Happy to have this back needed two trips to the shop as it was having an issue that is now resolved so although not wearing it at the moment good to know I can. Takes me two weeks to make time to pick things up lately kind of crazy.

Good times at Dunkin’ today…circa early 1950s U.S. issued Breitling mil watch from @Darlinboy and a Canadian issued lanyard from @DaveK

Such a lovely movement on that reference & the mil-spec blackout logo🥰 ... great to see it being worn. 👍

As you can see in the dial reflection, not Fall yet in North Texas. Lots of nice leaves throwing shade is nice.

Double dipping for today regarding my Breitling mil watch from @Darlinboy and lanyard from @DaveK

Golly gee whiz…it took a whole 26 minutes and 48 seconds for me to get sand kicked in my face at the gym for wearing Levi’s 511 “stretchy pants” and Clarks Wallabees while working out…

LATE ENTRY: Also, there’s a pretty good chance that I got sand kicked in my face at the gym because I was [in the process of] doing 1 set of 100,000 reps with the 3 lb. dumbbells pictured below…

I wrote the date today, damn 9/1/21 can’t believe we are this deep into the year. Three months till December. I asked the younger people I work with if it seemed this year went by unusually fast, they finished the sentence for me. Made me feel a little better it’s not just a sign of me getting older. Perhaps it’s partly just the craziness and massive changes from covid. Should be a pretty fall in our area lots of rain lately.

Clark’s Wallabees
Damn! Brings back memories! Those were the only shoes I would wear when I was a teenager!

Angelo Siciliano (aka Charles Atlas) was the 97 pound weakling who got sand kicked in his face, and look what was the result. Is this where you want to go?
