@Jones in LA Tropical Storm Henri is here and it's still raining DJs 😉

Picked up this gorgeous 2001 DJ 16220 yesterday. So pretty 🙄
(too bad the seller polished the lugs? 😡 - thanks @JwRosenthal for pointing that out)

Okay. No more DJs (for now 😜).

Shocked in a good way I hope. I really enjoyed last night’s show in Philadelphia, despite the intermittent rain…which did nothing to diminish the enthusiasm of the band or the crowd.
I should have been clearer, my apologies! I was shocked that a live show was being rebroadcast 4 days later. That’s what surprised me.

I’m glad you enjoyed the show! I haven’t gone to any of the various iterations since Jerry passed. I’ve got nothing negative to say about it, I just haven’t… Recently, I looked at the ticket prices for Atlanta & decided it’s got to be a very different crowd these days.

I understood you weren't being negative. Yeah, tickets have gone up a bit since I started following the Dead in the early '70s. The Further iteration of the Dead was interesting (and quite good, IMHO) -- especially interesting to see/hear many of the arrangements of the band's songbook reinterpreted by Bob Weir, a rhythm guitarist rather than a lead guitarist. This latest iteration of the band, Dead & Company, is a similarly interesting, and most enjoyable, evolution of the music. John Mayer is a great addition both in terms of his guitar-work and his vocals....he really fits in seamlessly with the rhythm being laid down by Weir and drummers Hart and Kreutzmann. The keyboardist and bassist are excellent in their own right and a true pleasure to listen to. Tickets are a bit pricey, but if you liked the Dead, Dead & Company is well worth seeing in a good venue.....preferably an outside venue under the stars....as with the Dead, the people watching alone is worth the price of admission. Cheers...and keep on truckin'.
