Oregon?

A pretty good guess, but off by a few miles 😀

The photo was taken on a ridgeline in the Santa Monica Mountains (Los Angeles County); to my right was the vast urban sprawl of the San Fernando Valley and to my left the vast Pacific Ocean.

1942 6B/159.. UK2292…Paid a visit to IWM Duxford (UK) 19 Squadron heroes day, who on this day made history by receiving the first Spitfire in 1938… A great day and the weather was kind for the display in their memory.

Duxford! Been there. Spent about 3 hours which was all the tour we were on would allow. Could have spent days! Nothing was flying that day, but that is okay because there was so much else to see. At the time we were there (21 years ago), I think I recall there were 5 hangars housing the museum and the shops.

I went a bit picture heavy …. there is so much to see. I will put a thread up (if I have some good pix)… The modern Laco flieger watch was worn by a one of the Hurricane pilots... dashed bad show :0)

Not going diving, but it is going to be a wet and stormy sail so thought this appropriate.

In my personal battle of the straps, the Aldrin Wrap seems to be prevailing 😀
